In August, gentle evening breezes carry the sound of cicadas beneath starlight. From afternoon to night, over 20 screening locations across Haidian light up their white screens one after another. The 2026 “Cinema for Good” Public Film Screening, hosted by the Haidian District Bureau of Culture and Tourism and organized by the Haidian Three Hills and Five Gardens Cultural and Arts Center, continues its free screenings.
A total of over 70 screenings of exciting films will be available throughout the month, with indoor air-conditioned screening halls and outdoor open-air venues opening simultaneously, and screening sessions scheduled for both daytime and evening. Except for the National Library Cinema, which requires reservation through the “National Library Arts Center” WeChat miniprogram, all other locations require no advance registration—simply arrive on site to watch. Choose from various viewing scenarios as you wish, all open free of charge to the public!
The film lineup covers all age groups, including mainstream blockbusters, family-friendly domestic animation, light comedies, suspense masterpieces, and martial arts films. Hot titles such as “The Volunteers: To the War”, “The Legend of the Condor Heroes: The Great Hero”, “Dongji Island”, “Pegasus 2”, “Detective Chinatown 1900”, and “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” will be screened in rotation, offering diverse styles suitable for all ages—there’s always one that hits the spot!
