“The visit to Haidian was a wonderfully rewarding experience!” On July 15, a delegation of mainstream African media from Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zambia and other countries visited Haidian District, successively entering the Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone Exhibition Center and iFLYTEK, experiencing China's cutting-edge sci-tech innovation achievements up close.
At the Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone Exhibition Center, the delegation visited the permanent themed exhibition hall. With “deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation” as its core thread, the hall centrally presents over 560 cutting-edge technological achievements from more than 350 top universities, research institutes and sci-tech innovation enterprises, covering strategic emerging tracks including artificial intelligence, embodied intelligence, high-end medical devices, quantum information and biotechnology. Through diverse forms such as physical displays, interactive operations and real-scene simulations, the hall comprehensively showcases Beijing's and particularly Haidian District's solid practice and impressive achievements in deeply cultivating technological innovation, fostering modern industrial systems and developing new quality productive forces, allowing overseas media to directly touch the pulse of China's industrial upgrading and sci-tech self-reliance and strength.
Subsequently, the delegation proceeded to the iFLYTEK Artificial Intelligence Experience Hall, which centrally displays internationally leading core technologies including speech recognition, speech synthesis, machine translation and deep semantic understanding. Delegation members gained in-depth understanding of the landing applications of the iFLYTEK Spark Cognitive Large Model across multiple dimensions such as text creation and in-depth Q&A. The application of artificial intelligence in diverse livelihood and industrial scenarios including education, healthcare, government office work, judiciary and industrial manufacturing also allowed the delegation to personally experience the practical value of AI technology empowering thousands of industries and facilitating public life.
Frederick Idhe, Chairman of the Nigerian Association of Foreign Affairs Correspondents and Senior Editor of Africa Channel Network, carefully observed throughout the visit, frequently stopping to experience interactive displays. In an interview, he was deeply moved.
