On March 29, as a key supporting event of the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Conference, the Overseas Chinese Innovation and Development Conference, themed "Harnessing Overseas Chinese Wisdom to Innovate the Future",(侨聚智慧·科创未来) was held at the Exhibition Center of the Zhongguancun Industrial Park. The conference brought together resources from the global overseas Chinese community. Through activities such as achievement presentations, keynote speeches, and roundtable discussions, it promoted the deep integration of the overseas Chinese community's strengths with the capital's science and technology innovation, injecting new momentum into the development of new quality productive forces and the global expansion of enterprises.
At the event, eight high-tech projects from the overseas Chinese community were officially launched at various overseas students' pioneer parks, including Renmin University of China, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and the Zhongguancun Science Park. Zhang Zhenyu, Executive Director of Beijing Zhanyu Technology Co., Ltd., said: "We are a platform dedicated to solving bounty tasks in vertical fields and providing AI services. Our team possesses extensive practical experience in the field of intelligent audio, along with numerous academic papers and patents. We also have a solid mathematical background, focusing on verifiable areas such as probabilistic simulation and intelligent decision-making for stochastic processes to ensure that our solutions are scientifically sound and their results are quantifiably verifiable. Currently, the project has been established at the Renmin University of China Students Pioneer Park. The park provides us with comprehensive incubation services including office space, a registered address, resource matchmaking, and legal services, offering crucial support for the company's development during its startup phase."
Subsequently, four investment institutions, including Beijing Jintan Capital Management Co., Ltd., signed agreements on-site with four overseas Chinese community projects, focusing on cutting-edge biopharmaceutical fields such as bispecific antibody drugs, innovative drugs for chronic metabolic diseases, gene delivery technologies, and extrahepatic drug delivery, injecting capital into overseas Chinese-founded enterprises. The conference also launched the "Beijing Products Go Global, Empowering Industry" (京品出海，赋能产业) initiative. Throughout the year, approximately 30 events will be organized to assist enterprises in expanding overseas, covering topics such as compliance training, policy interpretation, and financial services. By leveraging the global overseas Chinese network, the initiative aims to establish a routine service mechanism featuring "information exchange, resource sharing, and joint risk prevention", helping "Beijing Smart Manufacturing" and "Beijing Services" set sail for the global market.
During the keynote speech session, academicians and experts from the overseas Chinese community focused on fields such as biomedicine, artificial intelligence, and financial empowerment, sharing cutting-edge scientific achievements and innovative ideas. Topics included AI and brain health, China–France medical cooperation, the translational application of cell and gene therapies, and financial support for technological innovation, the experts provided in-depth analyses of technological trends and industrial opportunities, offering professional guidance for the development of overseas Chinese-founded enterprises. "The conference aims to build a unique international cooperation platform with an overseas Chinese character, harnessing humanistic spirit and patriotic sentiment to integrate the global overseas Chinese community's resources in talent, technology, capital, and networks, thereby achieving a new upgrade from 'emotional connection' to 'value co-creation',” said Yan Taiguang, Vice Chairman of the Haidian District Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.
During the roundtable discussion, guests from enterprises, financial institutions, overseas expansion service platforms, and overseas Chinese associations engaged in in-depth discussions on the theme "Integrating Overseas Chinese Wisdom and Global Strategy: New Pathways to Empowering High-Quality Overseas Expansion for Enterprises". Focusing on challenges including information gaps, compliance, financing and local operation, the guests explored an innovative path of "building bridges through overseas Chinese to connect the world". They proposed integrating policies, capital, professional expertise and practical experience to forge a "super connector" by integrating policy support, capital, expertise, and practical experience.
