⦁If you are sure about having a dog, within 30 days after obtaining one, you shall take valid identity certificates and your dog to the appropriate local public security organ and sign the "Commitment Letter for Individual Keeping Dogs" on site.
⦁Then you may go through the relevant registration procedure and the public security organ will give you the certificate for keeping dogs.
STEP 4 Take the dog for rabies vaccination
⦁After the registration, you need to take the dog to a rabies immunity medical facility recognized by the district veterinary administrative departments for free rabies vaccination.
⦁Get an immunity certificate and sign.

⦁Be sure to keep in mind there is an annual check for your registration certificate. You need to pay attention to any notices from the appropriate public security organs for detailed times and venues. (The annual check usually is available from May 1 to December 31.)
Fees
⦁For each dog in key administrative districts, the administration service fee for the first year is CNY 1,000,and CNY 500 annually for the years following. The charging standard in general administrative districts is decided by the district people's government based on actual conditions. If your dog has been sterilized, you can get a discount on administration service fee of up to half off for the first year.
In Beijing districts such as Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chaoyang, Haidian, Fengtai, and Shijingshan are key administrative districts, the others not mentioned are general administrative districts. Rural areas in key administrative districts, decided by the district people's government, shall refer to the regulations of the general administrative districts. Urban and specific areas with dense populations in general administrative districts, decided by the district people's government, shall refer to the regulations of key administrative districts.
