Starting from the first train service on tomorrow (December 27th), the new urban rail transit line – Line 18 (Malianwa – Tiantongyuandong) – will be put into trial operation!
Tiantongyuandong Station: First train departs at 5:29; Last train departs at 22:39.
Malianwa Station: First train departs at 5:39; Last full-route train departs at 22:39, and the last half-route train departs at 23:19.
Metro Line 18 serves as a vital east-west backbone line in northern Beijing, running through two districts: Haidian and Changping. It features 11 stations in total, including 4 interchange stations:
Interchange with Line 16 at Malianwa Station;
Interchange with Line 8 at Huilongguan East Street Station;
Interchange with Line 5 at Tiantongyuan Station;
Interchange with Line 17 at Tiantongyuandong Station.
With the opening of Metro Line 18, the Beijing metro network will officially complete the full lineup of Lines 1 to 19 – 60 years after the groundbreaking of Beijing's first metro phase project.
