The Zhongguancun · Chinese Food Carnival is officially extended! The event will remain open until August 30, with autumn-limited delicacies, cross-border co-creation exhibitions, and brand-new interactive experiences all going live. No more fear of missing out—this feast of street-side delights continues to the very end!
Since its opening on August 1, the public space at the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway Second Connection Point has transformed from an idle site into a bustling urban nighttime living room.
Over 70 stalls are steaming with delicious food, with the aroma filling the air. Melodies float from the main stage, while seniors stroll and browse, families laugh and play, and young people check in and sample new tastes. Citizens of all ages gather here, where evening breezes meet the glow of street food, unlocking a new way to enjoy early autumn nightlife.
This event is guided by the Haidian District Bureau of Commerce and jointly created by Zhongguancun Sub-district and Beijing Radio & Television Station Chinese Specialty Channel. It is a vivid practice of urban micro-renewal and the 15-minute community life circle.
The extension is not just extra time! The experience has been comprehensively upgraded, with food offerings seasonally refreshed. A special autumn flavor zone has been added, featuring authentic Northeast rice wraps, old-style spicy mix and other autumn delicacies making their debut, enriching the palate beyond summer snacks—one bite and you can taste the changing seasons.
Brand-new interactive experiences are going live. Summer song-and-dance performances have been upgraded to NPC message-leaving and rock-paper-scissors games, with multiple themed NPC points spread throughout. Leave a message, check in, and play fun rock-paper-scissors on site to unlock small gifts and surprise benefits—fun and rewarding, with a highly engaging social atmosphere.
This event is included in the South-Central Area “Culture, Commerce, Tourism, Sports and Exhibition Integration Enjoyment Season,” linking municipal and district-level consumption promotion campaigns. Taking this event as an opportunity, it continues to revitalize urban idle spaces, activate the nighttime economy, enrich residents’ leisure lives, and enhance everyone’s sense of happiness and fulfillment.
