On June 3, the WTCF Beijing Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit 2026 concluded. Guo Huaigang, Secretary-General of the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), attended together with representatives and guests from various countries, witnessing the successful conclusion of this international tourism event. Qi Huichao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Haidian District Committee and Head of the Publicity Department, presided over the closing ceremony. 

Sui Xiaofeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Haidian District Committee and Vice District Mayor, delivered an address. He first extended warm congratulations on the successful hosting of this summit on behalf of the Haidian District Committee and District Government, and expressed sincere gratitude to distinguished guests from various countries and friends from all walks of life who traveled from afar, as well as all conference staff. Sui Xiaofeng introduced that Haidian is home to the historical garden resources of Three Hills and Five Gardens represented by the Summer Palace and the Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan), and gathers a large number of high-quality universities, boasting profound humanistic heritage; relying on the sci-tech innovation advantages of Zhongguancun, it continuously promotes the deep integration of technology with culture and tourism; the district is rich in mountain and water resources, with distinct scenery in all four seasons, and various characteristic cultural and tourism activities are held on a regular basis, with natural landscapes and humanistic business formats complementing each other. He stated that the conclusion of the summit marks a brand new beginning for cooperation. Haidian looks forward to leveraging this summit as an opportunity to connect with global cities and industry institutions to deepen cultural and tourism collaboration, relying on multiple advantages in culture, tourism, and sci-tech innovation to implement the development blueprint for digital and smart tourism, and contribute to the steady advancement of the global cultural and tourism industry. 

Secretary-General Guo Huaigang delivered an address on behalf of the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), fully affirming the tangible achievements of the summit and expressing gratitude to Beijing and Haidian for their all-round conference support and to domestic and overseas participants for their strong support. This summit closely adhered to the theme of "Smart Tourism Better Future", gathering industry representatives from multiple global destinations, featuring rich and diverse activities, and successfully completing important agendas including the Federation's leadership transition and the unveiling of the Member Home. The conference conducted in-depth discussions on cross-border travel, cultural empowerment, aviation-tourism collaboration and other fields, facilitating the implementation of multi-field cross-border cultural and tourism cooperation. Throughout the summit, digital characteristics were prominently highlighted, with multiple cultural and tourism sci-tech innovation exhibitions launched, and the "2026 Global Smart Tourism Destination Competitiveness Report" and "Beijing's Top 10 Technology Application Scenarios in the Culture and Tourism Sector" released, providing practical references for the development of global smart tourism. Guo Huaigang noted that this brief gathering has forged profound bonds of cooperation.
