Q: Is there an age requirement for participants?
A: There are requirements:
Participants must be aged 20 or above (born on or before January 1, 2006).
Note: Participants aged 65 and above should strengthen self-assessment of their health condition, obtain consent from their direct relatives, and sign the “Entry Informed Consent Form” before collecting race materials.
Special reminder: The University Challenge and Haidian High-Tech Enterprise Challenge also require entrants to meet this age requirement.
Q: Are there any finishing time for participation requirements?
A: There are requirements:
Applicants must submit either one marathon finishing certificate or two half-marathon finishing certificates obtained within the 24 months prior to the registration deadline. Certificates from online races are accepted; sports trajectory screenshots are not valid proof.
Q: Do I need to submit a medical report when registering?
A: A medical examination is recommended.
The organizing committee advises all participants to undergo a medical check-up at a Grade II Class A hospital or above before the race to confirm fitness for participation, and then proceed with registration.
Q: How will I know if I have been selected?
A: This event adopts a “register first, lottery draw second, pay upon selection” mechanism. Once the number of applicants exceeds the quota, entry places will be allocated by random lottery.
The lottery results are scheduled for release in late August 2026. The draw will simultaneously confirm the list of selected runners and the waiting-list order for those not selected.
You may check your lottery result on your chosen registration platform. If you need to pay as a waitlisted entrant, please proceed via the official event website or official mini-program.

A: The registration fee is RMB 200/person.
This edition adopts a “register first, lottery draw second, pay upon selection” mechanism.
Selected participants and those with guaranteed entry must complete payment within 72 hours after the lottery results are announced. Failure to pay within the deadline will be deemed as automatic forfeiture of entry qualification.
Q: What are the rules for guaranteed entry? How can I obtain it?
A: This edition sets 1,000 guaranteed time-qualified slots. Participants whose registered times meet the qualifying standards for their respective age groups will secure guaranteed entry.
Age groups are determined by subtracting the year of birth from 2026(the year of the race).
If the total number of qualified guaranteed entry applicants exceeds 1,000, the actual number of guaranteed entries for each age group will be calculated based on the percentage of qualified applicants in that age group multiplied by 1,000.
A change for qualified guaranteed entry from previous editions:
Within the corresponding age group, applicants are ranked by their fastest official time in a Chinese Athletics Association “Category A” event within the past two years. Those ranking within the allocated slots for their age group will secure guaranteed entry.
Performance requirements: The personal best net finishing time in a marathon at a Chinese Athletics Association-certified “Category A” event (held between July 15, 2024 and July 15, 2026) that can be queried on the “China Marathon” website.
Applicants are advised to upload their personal best net finishing time.

A: Entrants must be full-time university students. In addition to submitting the finishing certificates required by the Competition Regulations, applicants must also upload their valid student ID, enrollment certificate, or other proof of current student status. Participants who fail to submit the required proof materials for the University Challenge will not be eligible for University Challenge ranking.
University Challenge entrants will participate in the same lottery draw and waiting list process as regular applicants to determine final entry qualification.
Q: What are the qualification requirements for the [Haidian High-Tech Enterprise Challenge] ?
A: The enterprise to which the entrant belongs must be a “high-tech enterprise” registered in Haidian District. In addition to submitting the finishing certificates required by the Competition Regulations, applicants must also upload proof of their social security contributions, employment certificate, or other documentation showing that their employer is a high-tech enterprise. Participants who fail to submit the required materials will not be eligible for Haidian High-Tech Enterprise Challenge ranking.
Haidian High-Tech Enterprise Challenge entrants will participate in the same lottery draw and waiting list process as regular applicants to determine final entry qualification.
