(IV) Starting Order
1. This race will assemble participants by performance in designated zones, with 15 meters between each zone. The event establishes Zones A/B/C/D. All non-racing wheelchair athletes must assemble at the rear of Zone D as arranged by the competition.
2. Zone assignment is primarily based on the best net finishing time in a full marathon filed on the China Marathon Information Platform between July 15, 2024 and August 8, 2026. Those without a full marathon time will be assigned based on their best net half-marathon time during the same period. Participants without any valid finishing times as described above will be uniformly assigned to the final assembly zone.
3. The Organizing Committee will place check-in mats in front of each zone. Participants are strictly prohibited from starting ahead by crossing into a front zone; those in front zones may enter rear zones to assemble and start. After the starting gun, a participant’s time will only be valid if they first pass their zone’s check-in mat and then the start timing mat. Violators will have their race results and rankings cancelled, and will be subject to an additional one-year competition ban.
(V) Starting Gun
This race adopts a single-gun start for all participants. The gun fires at 07: 30. Runners who commit false starts will not be stopped on site; their results and rankings will be uniformly cancelled after the race.
(VI) Timing Method
This race uses chip timing. The timing chip will begin recording when the runner passes the start line (net timing). Timing mats are placed at the start, every 5-kilometer point, the 21.0975-kilometer point, turnaround points, and the finish line. Runners must pass all timing mats in sequence during the race. Runners who finish within the cutoff time but lack a record at any timing point will not be ranked and will not be issued a finisher’s certificate.
(VII) Cutoff Distances and Times To ensure the safety and smooth progress of all participants, the race course will be subject to time-limited traffic closure during the event. After the cutoff time expires, corresponding road sections will be progressively reopened to public traffic. Runners who fail to reach the designated points within the stipulated cutoff time must immediately terminate their race and exit the course. Withdrawn runners may board the Organizing Committee’s sweep vehicle to the finish area. Cutoff times are shown in the table below (gun time starts at 07: 30).
Note: In cases of extreme weather, emergencies or other special circumstances, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to implement course closure ahead of schedule. All runners must comply with on-site instructions.
After cutoff times expire and roads reopen, runners who remain on the course and have not passed timing points shall bear all accidents and liabilities arising therefrom.

(2) If the total number of qualified guaranteed entry applicants does not exceed 1,000, all qualified applicants will obtain guaranteed entry.
(3) If the total number of qualified guaranteed entry applicants exceeds 1,000, the actual number of guaranteed entries for each age group will be calculated based on the percentage of qualified applicants in that age group multiplied by 1,000(for example: if the number of qualified applicants aged 34 and below is 1,000, and the total number of qualified applicants across all age groups is 5,000, this indicates that the guaranteed entry quota for the 34-and-below age group accounts for 20%, meaning 200 guaranteed slots for that age group). Athletes will then be ranked within each age group by their personal best net marathon finishing time at Chinese Athletics Association-certified “Category A” events (held between July 15, 2024 and July 15, 2026) that can be queried on the “China Marathon” website.
