A History of American Women's Literature is the final achievement of a National Social Science Fund post-funding project led by Professor Jin Li from BFSU.
The book systematically traces the creative journeys of 388 female writers over 370 years, from the North American colonial period to the early 21st century, using a chronological approach. It employs an "interwoven" research concept, combining literary history compilation with literary criticism, and covers various genres, including novels, poetry, drama, travelogues and biographies. The work emphasizes a Chinese perspective and systematic construction, offering a panoramic view of the development, social context and aesthetic features of American women's literature. It is considered a milestone and authoritative work in this field within China, greatly promoting dialogue and exchange in literary studies between China and the United States.
The Relationship between the Silk Road and the Literature in Han and Tang Dynasties is a phased achievement of a major project under the National Social Science Fund, led by Professor Shi Yuntao.
This book employs a combination of historical evidence, mutual verification of literature and history, and literary appreciation to systematically explore Silk Road imagery and cultural exchange connotations in the poetry, prose and novels of the Han (206 BC-AD 220) and Tang (618-907) dynasties. It reveals the multifaceted influences of the Silk Road on the themes, genres and artistic styles of Han and Tang literature. The research expands the literary historical perspective of the Silk Road and provides a new cross-cultural viewpoint for understanding Han-Tang literature, offering significant academic value and intellectual insights.
